The Importance of Water Testing and Treatment

The quality of the water we use can no longer be taken for granted. The possibility of contamination, an aging water distribution system, uncertain well-water quality and the type of plumbing system in homes or offices are just a few of the variables that come into play.

Our municipal water supply provides water that meets preset standards, but are those standards yours?

Some water issues are obvious, and many are invisible. Would you like to know what is in your water? Schedule your water analysis, so you can be informed what is in your water supply.

Private Water Supply

If you use water from a private well, you’ve taken sole responsibility for the safety and quality of that water supply. Unless you install a water treatment system, nothing is between you and any water contamination problems that the well may have. Continues testing should be done to maintain the quality and safety of your private water supply.

Municipal Water Supply

Although the municipal water supply is treated to some degree before it reaches your home, it is still hard and may contain some levels of contaminants. Public water supplies are tested for contaminants at the source, but the quality of water created by the Water & Sewerage Corporation is not necessarily the quality that will enter your home, especially as the underground distribution system continues to ages. The byproducts of chlorine can also cause health issues.
